Okay - so I have to get this off my chest. I've been holidng it in and now I think this is the perfect outlet.
1. So I had to run into Walmart the other day to pick up a birthday gift. Granted it was a Saturday morning so I should have known better - but I waited til the last minute and it had to be done. So my sweet hubby drops me at the door and tells me to call him t swing back to pick me up when I'm done. I knew exactly what I was getting so it shouldn't take very long. I run in, grab what I needed and proceeded to the checkout. I had 4 items. 4 small items. No cart - no basket. Just 4 small items I could easily carry. I step up to the "speedy checkout". Said so right on the checkout light. There were 2 people in front of me - each with a minimal amount of items in their posession - none with a cart. Let me just say - the cashier was NOT speedy! She was scanning the items like she was 100 years old and could barely move! And then on top of that she was having a full on conversation with the man checking out. Urghhh! Come on lady - I've got three kids in the car. I gotta go! In this time my husband calls to find out what the heck is going on. Yep - "speedy" was inaccurate. So this leads me to a couple of thoughts. A.) Walmart is false advertising their speedy lanes and needs to address the issue. B.) Maybe there need to be "speedy" cashier try-outs. In order to workthe speedy lanes you have to be below a certain time per item scanned and you have torefrain from conversation - small talk is okay as long as it doesn't bog down your time - we want the cashiers to still be polite. C.) ALL lanes should beopen on Saturday morning! Seriously!!! Come on! Why have all those lanes if you aren't going to have them open on the busiest morning of the week. D.) There should be grocery only lanes - there's nothing worse then having 10 items and getting behind a grocery shopper with 100 items and 150 coupons! Seriously!!! I'm glad you're saving money - but I need to go!!!!
2. Okay so today a lady with a HUGE SUV jams her truck in a space beside me big enough for a VW Bug. Seriously!!!! I couldn't even get the carset between the vehicles!!!! Urghhhh! If you can't park em don't drive em! That's my motto! Or maybe even better yet - get off the stinking cell phone while you're trying to park your tank! Again - I have some thoughts on this.... A.) Since some vehicles are so HUGE and won't hardly fit width or length wise in "standard" parking spaces maybe they need to make some special spaces at the end of the parking lot. Then I wouldn't have such a hard time getting in and out of my vehicle when its wedged between the tanks. This would also help with the fact that when I'm parked between said tanks I can't see to back out and almost run over people. See it would just be better all around for everyone. B.) why can't stores have a limited amount of 10 minute parking spaces - they could even meter them and make some money. This way when I just need to run in for a pack of diapers I couple pay my quarter to park close and not have to walk so far with all my kids! Oh how nice that would be!!!!
3. What is up with people sending 100+ pictures via a share site that A.) have no descriptions other then DC001, DC002, etc - how am I supposed to know what I'm looking at. Especially when there are pictures of family reunions with no one I recognize. B.) are not in order - so I'm lookin at cute bathtub pics then birthday party pics and then back to bathtub. See I think I'm losing my mind - didn't I just see that one???? C.) there are 4 pictures of the exact some thing - seriously! EDIT!!!!!! I don't need to see 4 pictures of Johnny that all look exactly the same! Okay seriously...I love seeing the pictures - I just ask for some editing. If you're asking me to take time to look at your precisous little one then please take the time to do some minor editing!!!!
Oh my goodness! I feel better now!!!! Sorry for the ranting!!! Just had to get that off my chest!
