Fun Weekend

Friday night the neighbors invited us over for smores. The girls had a good time roasting marshmallows - but more fun eating them. I also enjoyed them a lot! Yummy!!! I wish we could make smores every night!

Sunday we went to the Festival helping to celebrate the opening of a new hospital in our area! The girls had so much fun. They got their faces painted, rode ponies, had ice cream, and got to go up in a hot air balloon! What a big day! They had agreat time, but were exhausted by the time we left!

Jh* wanted a purple football - I'm not sure what that says - but it was cute. Jn* got a pink and yellow butterfly.

Gotta Get it Off My Chest

Okay - so I have to get this off my chest. I've been holidng it in and now I think this is the perfect outlet.

1. So I had to run into Walmart the other day to pick up a birthday gift. Granted it was a Saturday morning so I should have known better - but I waited til the last minute and it had to be done. So my sweet hubby drops me at the door and tells me to call him t swing back to pick me up when I'm done. I knew exactly what I was getting so it shouldn't take very long. I run in, grab what I needed and proceeded to the checkout. I had 4 items. 4 small items. No cart - no basket. Just 4 small items I could easily carry. I step up to the "speedy checkout". Said so right on the checkout light. There were 2 people in front of me - each with a minimal amount of items in their posession - none with a cart. Let me just say - the cashier was NOT speedy! She was scanning the items like she was 100 years old and could barely move! And then on top of that she was having a full on conversation with the man checking out. Urghhh! Come on lady - I've got three kids in the car. I gotta go! In this time my husband calls to find out what the heck is going on. Yep - "speedy" was inaccurate. So this leads me to a couple of thoughts. A.) Walmart is false advertising their speedy lanes and needs to address the issue. B.) Maybe there need to be "speedy" cashier try-outs. In order to workthe speedy lanes you have to be below a certain time per item scanned and you have torefrain from conversation - small talk is okay as long as it doesn't bog down your time - we want the cashiers to still be polite. C.) ALL lanes should beopen on Saturday morning! Seriously!!! Come on! Why have all those lanes if you aren't going to have them open on the busiest morning of the week. D.) There should be grocery only lanes - there's nothing worse then having 10 items and getting behind a grocery shopper with 100 items and 150 coupons! Seriously!!! I'm glad you're saving money - but I need to go!!!!

2. Okay so today a lady with a HUGE SUV jams her truck in a space beside me big enough for a VW Bug. Seriously!!!! I couldn't even get the carset between the vehicles!!!! Urghhhh! If you can't park em don't drive em! That's my motto! Or maybe even better yet - get off the stinking cell phone while you're trying to park your tank! Again - I have some thoughts on this.... A.) Since some vehicles are so HUGE and won't hardly fit width or length wise in "standard" parking spaces maybe they need to make some special spaces at the end of the parking lot. Then I wouldn't have such a hard time getting in and out of my vehicle when its wedged between the tanks. This would also help with the fact that when I'm parked between said tanks I can't see to back out and almost run over people. See it would just be better all around for everyone. B.) why can't stores have a limited amount of 10 minute parking spaces - they could even meter them and make some money. This way when I just need to run in for a pack of diapers I couple pay my quarter to park close and not have to walk so far with all my kids! Oh how nice that would be!!!!

3. What is up with people sending 100+ pictures via a share site that A.) have no descriptions other then DC001, DC002, etc - how am I supposed to know what I'm looking at. Especially when there are pictures of family reunions with no one I recognize. B.) are not in order - so I'm lookin at cute bathtub pics then birthday party pics and then back to bathtub. See I think I'm losing my mind - didn't I just see that one???? C.) there are 4 pictures of the exact some thing - seriously! EDIT!!!!!! I don't need to see 4 pictures of Johnny that all look exactly the same! Okay seriously...I love seeing the pictures - I just ask for some editing. If you're asking me to take time to look at your precisous little one then please take the time to do some minor editing!!!!

Oh my goodness! I feel better now!!!! Sorry for the ranting!!! Just had to get that off my chest!

Comfort Zone

Ohhh I think I made huge strides today in my mothering today. I actually got crafty with the kids! Yep - you are reading that correctly. I got out craft supplies and let the girls paint this afternoon. I didn't hover, I let them make a mess, and I just sat peacefully watching. I waited patiently until they were done and then cleaned everything up. I was proud of myself. And the girls had a great time! So I think we will try it again another day. Jut sign me up for mother of the year! :)

Ahhhh so sweet

Last year there was something in the water in the subdivision I was living in because three of us ended up pregnant within a very short timespan. Out of this water contamination came three beautiful summer babies - 2 boys and a girl. They are precious and today we were all together so the kids had their first photo opt together. How sweet are they.....

I look forward to watching them grow up together!

I'm Back

So after a very long trial seperation with my internet - I'm happy to report I'M BACK!!!! And oh sweet internet I will never leave you again. I know now that any hopes of ever parting ways is just plain ridiculous. I could never leave you!

How sad really am I? Seriously it was only like a week and a half and it seemed like a lifetime. I felt so disconnected from everyone. Now how can someting so impersonal like email really make you feel disconnected? Well, it is strange to say but he bulk of my communication with friends is through email and blogging! And when I couldn't do that I just felt like I was left on a deserted island . So lonely!

Things here are going well. We are slowly getting unpacked and getting things in place. I've found some of my pictures and put them up and that helped lift my mood. I LOVE my pictures and I didn't realize how much I had missed them! It's sad to say, but I hope to have everything unpacked and done by the end of the month. I really need to have a garage sale now though. I have tons of things that I need to get rid of. I've been going through my shoes so if anyone wants to take a look let me know! I've got some really cute pairs that I just don't wear anymore and need to make room in my closet! :)

Okay - I've gotta run! Lots to do befor tomorrow morning! But I'm back baby! I'm truly back!
