My friend Dawn came over this morning and took pictures of Jacob! Can I tell you how talented this girl is! She is wonderful! It was so much fun watching her work and Jacob was such a little doll baby. I would say he was absolutely perfect, but I know that I am somewhat bias! :) When she left I just kept thinking, "I can't wait to see those pictures" and I guess neither could Dawn. She called me later in the afternoon and said she'd posted a few shots to her blog. I immediately went and checked them out and I almost broke down crying. They were so beautiful! How she does it I just don't know. She totally captures something that is just beyond words! Her pictures truly take my breath away!
Dawn put a couple of teaser pictures up on her website.....so take a look. And if you scroll down there are some pregnancy pictures of me on there too (I know a lot of you have already seen them). So here you go!

And if you are looking for a FANTASTICALLY TALENTED Photographer make sure to check out Dawn's website! She does a great job! And her pictures are just priceless!

He Pee'd On Me and Silly Jessa
So yesterday the girls came back from Grandma and Grandpa's house. I could hardly hold back the tears as they pulled in. I was so excited to see them. I swear Jessa grew up by 3 years when she was gone! The girls were excited to be home and to see Jacob. So I put a blanket on the floor so I could change Jacob's diaper. The girls were both sitting up at his head watching me and checking everything out. All of a sudden Jacob decided it would be a good time to pee and squirted up in the air. It launched over his little head and got both of his sisters. I about died laughing. Of course Jenna, Miss Drama Queen herself, started crying and insisting that her clothes immediately be changed. Jessa stood up and said, "That baby pee pee'd on my leg and I am NOT happy!" It was so funny! I'm sure Jacob will absolutely love that story someday.
This picture comes from the crazy mind of Jessa. She thought she was really something with all those sunglasses on! And I was completely cracking up! She loves to make people laugh - and she's good at it!

First Walk and Fishing
This evening after supper we took Jacob for his first walk. We walked over to the new house to see what progress they have made. He was a very good boy.
We had a good day. Jacob was a party animal and stayed up until about 2am, but after that he did very well. He slept for 4 hours, got up and ate, and then slept for another 4 hours. So I did get some sleep - it just came later then I would have liked. But we are getting there! So I'm not going to complain!
Today we took Jacob to the weekly Bible study group that I attend and he got lots of loving! He was a big hit! And what a good boy he was! Then Brett and I ran a few errands and went out to lunch. Jacob was an absolute champ!
I talked to mom and dad tonight before supper and then the girls for a little bit. Everyone is doing well. Last night they took the girls fishing and they had such a great time. Jessa caught 3 fish and Jenna caught 5. Dad said Jenna caught a 10 inch bass and she was so excited she couldn't wait to get it out of the water so instead of reeling it in she just took off running with the pole and pulled that fish right out of the pond! I laughed so hard because I could just see it!!!! She is so her Aunt Jenn! They were going out fishing again tonight after supper! I can't wait to get up there the next time and watch these two girls fish and take some pictures!!!!!
Okay - Jacob is crying. Time to feed him and put him to bed!

Rough Night, but Good Day
So the little man had a rough night last night. Mommy didn't get very much sleep. But we have had a good day today and I'm optimistic that we will have a good night tonight! It has to be rough adjusting to a new environment and new noises.
I talked to Jenna and Jessa this afternoon. I tried to call them this morning, but had to hang up because I couldn't keep myself from crying! I miss them! But when I pulled it together and talked to them this afternoon it was great. They had spent the day at the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa and had a blast. They've been playing in the sandbox and Grandpa bought them fishing poles so they were supposed to go fishing tonight after supper! They sounded great and like they were having a fabulous time!!! They are coming home on Wednesday and I can't wait to see them!
Brett and I got out of the house today for a little bit. We took Jacob out to lunch and then to Target to grab a few things needed for the house. It was nice to be out and about! Jacob was a very good little boy in his carseat! I'm hopeful he will be a good car rider like his sisters!

Good Day
The girls and I had a really nice day today - it could be the last day that I get to say "The girls and I...." This morning we took in a movie and then I was feeling good so we had a picnic lunch in the park and the girls got to play for a little bit. They both took afternoon naps which was a nice break.
I went to the OB this afternoon for one last checkup before the baby comes tomorrow. Everything was great! So we are all ready to go!
Mom and Dad arrived about supper time so we all went out to eat and then I had a final massage before the big day. Ahhhhh - it was so nice and relaxing!
So I'm getting ready to turn in. I still need to pack a bag and get a few things around, but I should be tucked away before 10pm hits. We have to be at the hospital by 6am to get things rolling. So there should be a new baby by noon. I'm really anxious and excited to meet this new little one!!!!!
Thank you to all who are praying for us tomorrow! I really appreciate it! And I look forward to sharing our good news with you all!

10 Quirky Facts about Kissing
I saw this today and couldn't resist posting to my blog.
10 quirky facts about kissing
By Laura Schaefer
Think you know a thing or two about kissing? You probably do. But the facts below are so off the beaten path, we’ll bet you don’t know them all—and they could come in handy. Not only could they provide some steamy “Did you know…?” chit chat, but they’ll help you see all the benefits a satisfying lip lock can bring into your life. Happy smooching!
1. Two out of every three couples turn their heads to the right when they kiss.
2. A simple peck uses two muscles; a passionate kiss, on the other hand, uses all 34 muscles in your face. Now that’s a rigorous workout!
3. Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two lip impressions are alike.
4. Kissing is good for what ails you. Research shows that the act of smooching improves our skin, helps circulation, prevents tooth decay, and can even relieve headaches. (Now there is a remedy I've never tried for a headache!)
5. The average person spends 336 hours of his or her life kissing.
6. Ever wonder how an “X” came to represent a kiss? Starting in the Middle Ages, people who could not read used an X as a signature. They would kiss this mark as a sign of sincerity. Eventually, the X came to represent the kiss itself.
7. Talk about a rush! Kissing releases the same neurotransmitters in our brains as parachuting, bungee jumping, and running. (Ohhhh...and a lot safer too!)
8. The average woman kisses 29 men before she gets married. (Interesting! Wonder what the man's number is????)
9. Men who kiss their partners before leaving for work average higher incomes than those who don’t. (Seriously! I've got to get this one working for me!!!! Just kidding! It would be a very rare morning if I didn't kiss Brett goodbye!)
10. The longest kiss in movie history was between Jane Wyman and Regis Tommey in the 1941 film, You’re in the Army Now. It lasted 3 minutes and 5 seconds. So if you’ve beaten that record, it’s time to celebrate! (I wonder how many takes that took and how many tubes of chapstick???)

Perfect Day
Oh what a perfect weather day today. Not too hot, not too cold. Just absolutely perfect. And a nice breeze to top it all off!
Our morning started off kind of crazy. Had to be out the door by 8:20 to get Jenna to speech by 8:30am. She really wasn't excited about going today, but we made it there in one piece and with sanity intact! That in itself was a miracle!
After speech we headed over to River Heritage Park for the Kids Koncert in the park. We got there early enough to snag a spot in the shade. It was so nice just being outside. We had several friends join us and the girls had so much fun listening to the music and playing with their friends. I enjoyed just kicking back in my chair and relaxing for an hour. Then we stayed and had a little picnic which was nice and peaceful too! All around I would have to say it was just a fun morning.
The girls are both napping now and I'm taking some much needed me time and catching up on a few things. Hopefully our afternoon will be harmonious as well and we will get to assign this day to the list of good days!
Now if the summer weather could just stay like this I'd be in Heaven!

Stormy Skies
Last night I captured some of the most beautiful storm skies over Indiana that I have ever seen. I wish you could have been here to actually see them because as beautiful as they are in the pictures - the pictures don't do them justice. I have never seen such colors in the sky before! It was gorgeous. And the hues changed every few minutes! It was absolutely amazing! These pictures were taken between 8:30pm and 9pm. It was drizzling rain the entire time which was disappointing because I would have loved to have sat out on the back porch and just enjoy the view.
Jenna the Gardener
I LOVE summer!
Say Cheese - Jessica
Today we were outside enjoying the weather! The girls were enjoying playing in the yard and just being silly!
Jessica - say cheese!
Here is my little one dancing on the front porch! Uncle Nick and Jenna kept spraying her feet with cold water! She loved it though!
Grandma was down for a visit and this was the perfect opportunity for a photograph! You know it's really too bad Jessa doesn't like to have her picture taken! :) Seriously! This child sees a camera and she is instant cheese!

Trying to Beat the Heat
So today we ventured to the Sprinkler park at 131st and Hazel Dell to try to beat the heat! There were tons of kids there, but the girls had a really good time! I felt like I was baking in the sun! This is the first time this season that we've been to the park - but it was just as great as we remembered it. Jessa was much more into it this year then she was last year which was great to see!
