National Cheesecake Day

So today is National Cheesecake Day - oh yeah!!!! And in celebration the Cheesecake Factory was offering it's cheesecake slices for $1.50. What a bargain! If you're not familiar with the Cheesecake Factory they have some of the most delicious cheesecake - but it is expensive - try $6.50 a slice. So at $1.50 it was a bargain.



I met my friends S* and D* at 9:45pm - yes in the evening. They got there at 9pm and there was a 45 minute wait! Crazy! But it was worth it. The cheesecacke was FABULOUS! I had the Snickers Cheesecake and it was so delicious I finished the whole thing! Yummy!!!!!!!



We had a great time chatting and it was a great ending to a stressful day!



So why was my day so stressful! Well let me tell you - I've spent more time at Babies R Us today then I did when I went to register for gifts for my first baby. It was NUTS! To backtrack, my crib was recalled and we had to send it back to the company and then they sent us a voucher so we could go and get a new crib. I LOVED the crib that we had and I was sad to have to give it up - but I was trying to be positive. So I went today by myself with the kids thinking I would get in and out quickly - man was I wrong! The voucher was for x dollar and the only cribs they had started at nearly $100 more then x. Yikes! And apparently it isn't hip or trendy to have a cherry finish crib anymore because I think there were only 3 cherry finished cribs to choose from. So we ended up walking out of there with a crib that was nearly $200 more then x! I was not happy. And to make matters worse I had a 15% off coupon and when they were checking us out they didn't take the 15% off the entire purchase price but rather the difference between the purchase price and the voucher. We went back in and asked them if there was a mistake and they said no. So needless to say we spent a lot more money than we had expected today.



But like I said - at least the day ended on a good note. Time with friends and cheesecake - who could ask for anything more!!!!
